I'm not sure the date I met Marie at Evangelical Presbyterian Church but, it's probably about 54 years ago! She was always a special person. The welcoming celebration, in Heaven, by the people from from EPC was exceptional.
Today we know that Marie died, but forever we remember she LIVED!

"Mom" (second Mom) to me for 58 years, loved unconditionally no matter who you were. The family moved in next door to me when I was a junior in high school. I married her oldest son, Paul Dwayne, and we had her first two grandchildren. Though we divorced after 20 years, mom continued to follow my life and love me as one of her own. She never condemned or questioned me for my decisions but always brought joy to my heart when we talked. Her family has always been my family. She loved all the wives, husbands and grandchildren without question or judgement no matter their life choices or where they came from. Marie lived her walk with Jesus in the most trying of times and I know when she saw Jesus he said, "Well done good and faithful servant." I´m so honored to have loved her and called her Mom. Thank you, Marie for a life well lived.

It was such a blessing to get to know Marie better during the time that we became neighbors after she moved to Aspen Trail. I could walk down the hallway, and if her door was slightly open I could just knock and she would say, "Come in." She always had a smile. Often when we sat in the dining room at the same table with someone new, she would introduce us as "Outlaws." Then she would explain. I will miss her very much. Norma

I met Mrs. Scruggs when her granddaughter Cydney married my son. She was a delightful woman and I enjoyed my conversations with her. I also had the opportunity to buy one of the perfectly made handbags which I carried so often that I wore it out. Mark and I are sorry for your loss, but celebrating with you that she is with Jesus now. Karen Pié
