Marilyn Cochran Obituary

Homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother, Marilyn fought a long battle with Alzheimer's and passed away, at home, peacefully, surrounded by her husband of 48 years, Ronald Cochran, and their two daughters, Sharon Kimball and Cindi Bauknecht. She also is survived by three brothers, two grandchildren-Rachel and Zoe Kimball, and several neices and nephews. She was born and married in Albuquerque, NM, and had been a resident of Colorado Springs for 40 years. A living memory memorial is planned at a later date. "She was a good wife and a good mother and will be missed greatly". In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of my Aunt and will always remember the trip to Colorado as a kid and all the fun stuff we did. Marilyn made my sisters and I stuffed dolls for Christmas one year and I still have mine.

Christmas of 1973 my Aunt Marilyn sent me and 3 sisters handmade raggedy ann dolls for Christmas. Each one was different. Mine had a calico dress on with a pink apron. My other sisters got blue, green and yellow ones. Under the dresses over the heart was wrote on each one. Mine said: To Brenda I love you. Christmas 1973. I truly loved that doll and have many special memories of play with it.
36 years later we all still have our dolls that were so lovely gave to us.
Aunt Marilyn you will be miss by all that knew you. Love your niece Brenda

Marilyn Jane Cochran (and her husband) put an enormous amount of time and energy into the developing years of their grandchildren, providing stability and adventure in their lives, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Marilyn was a key player in transitioning Cragmor Church into the computer age. We had great times in the church office because of her humor and efficiency. She was a great source of encouragement to me when my children were small. And who can forget Chaco growling under the desk!
