Marilyn Jean Gibson, 92, of Greeley, CO passed away on March 26, 2024, at UC Health, Hospice. "Jeannie" was born in Hagerman, NM to Coy and Margaret (Curry) Knoll on December 24, 1931.
Jeannie graduated from Hagerman High School in 1949. She married her high school sweetheart, Ray C Gibson on July 2, 1950. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1951.
Jeannie enjoyed being a member of a local Sorority club and in 1970 she became a Direct Sales Coordinator with the Shaklee Corporation. She was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs. In 2018 she moved to Ault, Co., and in 2019 she moved to Grace Pointe Senior Care Center, in Greeley.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her husband Ray C Gibson and their son Steven R Gibson. She is survived by three daughters: Sandra Redecker (Rick) Davie, FL, Marilyn Garhart (Ron) Yorktown, VA, and De Simpson (Jerry) Ault CO, her brother Robert (Diane) Parker, Sherman, TX; daughter-in- law, Joanne Gibson, Parker, CO; 10 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren.
Jeannie's "Graduation" will be held at Eaton Community Church, 1561 Benjamin Drive, Eaton, CO at 10:00 am, Saturday April 13th.
Funeral Home is Neptune Society, Arvada Co
Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs where a private family service will be held this Summer

Jeannie was a long-time friend who shared music and Shaklee as a commonality with my late Husband, Ed and me. She and Ray were such great people -- kind, friendly, generous, and ambitious, too. Now I'm the last one of the 4 of us remaining...guess you could say a scary and lonely thought. All were wonderful folks who will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeannie's family who remain spread throughout the country and who I also remember with fondness.
