Marilyn Lauer Obituary

Marilyn Lauer went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. She was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on May 3, 1935, to James and Marion Roth, of Westwood, New Jersey, both deceased. Marilyn was a graduate of Westwood High School. She and her husband, Bill, were high school sweethearts and married in 1957. She lived in Woodland Park, CO for 35 years and previously worked in food service for the Woodland Park School District.



Marilyn is survived by her husband, William Lauer of Colorado Springs, sons Dan (Lisa) Lauer and Vic (Alison) Lauer both of Colorado Springs, and daughter Linda (Mark) McNeill, of Columbia, SC. She has a sister, Geraldine Long of Keyser, WV and a brother, James (Jean) Roth of West Milford, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren - Jenna (Harmon) Anderson, Jessica Lauer, Tyler McNeill, Katelyn McNeill and Madison Lauer.



A memorial service to celebrate the life of Marilyn will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at 11am in the morning, at Academy Christian Church, 1635 Old Ranch Road, in Colorado Springs. Please join us for a time of remembering Marilyn and sharing memories of her. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church following the service.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Association at WWW.alz.org.
