Marilyn Waugh Obituary

Marilyn Lee (Vance) Waugh went to be with her personal Lord and Savior after a blessed life and well fought battle with congestive heart failure. Missy, as she was known to her loved ones, never let her health or hardships define her faith or warm presence. A genuinely fine woman in Christ, she will be forever remembered for her warmth, acceptance of circumstances, and love of life and the people around her with whom she shared it.

Missy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Cloyed (Chris); her sons, Glenn (Linda) and Thomas (Lorie); 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was an active member in PEO, many past and present scripture studies, Christian Women's Club, cancer survivor and board work, outpatient surgical volunteer for almost four decades at Poudre Valley Hospital, and a docent at Colorado Volunteer Center in Fort Collins. She was an extremely accomplished artist and painter.

We are shocked and saddened to hear about Marilyn's passing. My husband and I became friends with Jack and Marilyn when we lived across the street from them above Horsetooth Reservoir. We helped each other out, Marilyn taking care of our cat when we were gone and Jack "taking care of" our bagworms. We helped Marilyn adjust and cope after Jack's unexpected death. We will remember her as an avid traveler and volunteer. Always willing to help and always so active! She had such a positive and gentle spirit that will live on. We will miss her.
