Those early pledge drives were a hoot!

I’ve never been more pleased to have known someone. Just wish there’d been more time, but I’m reminded of the tag line from a Laurie Anderson –tune- circa 1976

“Time to Go”

Good bye Mario

KRCC in the late 70s and early 80s was simply the best and most innovative station in the universe, all because of Mario. He played punk/new wave on the air when no other stations would go near it. He was our very own Alan Freed. Who else would dare to do "The Hurt Yourself Show" at 12 noon on Fridays? We will miss his humor, passion and intelligence. Thanks for the great times Mario, especially the Magazine concert. We will never forget you.

We're honored to have made his acquaintance back in the 70s and sharing music and other things with him. He could always make us laugh. He will be missed.
