Marion Hook Obituary

August 23, 1926 - February 22, 2008 Marion S. Hook, 81, passed away February 22, 2008 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born August 23, 1926 in Streator, Illinois to Alfred and Mary (Thompson) Price, who preceded her in death. Marion had been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1945. Her many activities included playing Bridge, reading, and volunteering with a wide range of community organizations. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter Y, Assistance League of Colorado Springs, The El Paso Club, LaSertoma, and the Pikes Peak Range Rider Wives. Above all else, she was dedicated to her family. Marion is survived by her son, Stephen Hook, three daughters, Kathy Butler, Terri Hook and Marnie (Mark) Ballard; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one brother, Alfred "Fred" Price of Lake Forest, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Keith Hook, and son-in-law, Steve Butler. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs.
