Marion Linzmaier Obituary

Marion "Peggie" Linzmaier, a long time resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on June 17, 2011 at her home, surrounded by family and friends. Peggie was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 15, 1925. She worked as a keypunch operator at Ford Motor Company from 1943 to 1976. After moving to Colorado Springs in 1976, she and her husband, Lou Linzmaier, owned the Hideaway Lounge for 12 years. During that time, she gave many years of volunteer service to Silver Key Senior Services and Community Health Centers. She was a member of the Eastern Star and had many friends. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Louis Linzmaier, her son Gerald Zentz and grandson Scott Zentz. She is survived by a brother, James McGuire and a sister, Kathy McGuire Langer, 2 children, Martin Linzmaier(Marian)and Lori Linzmaier, 9 grandchildren, Barbara, Hope, Kimberly, Matthew, Miranda, Katherine, Michael (Kimberly), Erin and Shawn, and 5 great grandchildren, Dallas, Jordan, Kaylee, Aiden and Allen. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Cappadona's Funeral Home, 1020 East Fillmore Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. Viewing will be from 1pm to 3pm and service will be at 3pm. Peggie will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Cadillac Memorial Gardens West Cemetary in Westland, Michigan.

I will miss you very much Peggie. I am so fortunate to have had the oppurtunity to get to know you as a person. Naomi and I will miss you and I am bringing you and rotten ralph and lou up to mile#13. I am glad that you will no longer live in pain any longer. Thank you for touching my heart and my life and reminding me how to be the strong woman I am.
