Marjorie Hale Obituary

Hale
Marjorie Kathleen Hale
1921 - 2018
Marjorie Kathleen Hale passed away peacefully on March 4, 2018, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Braymer, Missouri, January 30, 1921, to John and Lena Scheible, the third of five children.
The family moved to Armel, Colorado, where she was raised. She was baptized into Christ at St. Francis, Kansas, along with 8 others at a nearby lake. She then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado after graduating from high school. There, she met her husband, Henry Hale, through his sister at the family dry cleaning business where she worked following WWII. After marrying, they went on to run the family business themselves. She also worked at Memorial Hospital and provided caregiver services for a few blessed individuals. Thoroughly enjoying her role, she spent her life in this endeavor.
She greatly enjoyed working in her yard and especially visiting with neighbors and family. Her other hobbies included cooking and canning, and she was an avid and accomplished photographer, gathering a plethora of photos of family, friends, and scenery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Buford and Jay Scheible, and a sister, Merle Scheible. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister, Anna Roberts of Upland, California, nieces Vivian Garcia and Kathy Roberts, and a nephew, Philip Scheible, along with their spouses. Also, surviving relatives include six grand nephews, one grand niece, and many great grand nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, at 1:00 PM.
Family and friends are requested to gather at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs at 12:30 PM, where the procession will depart for Evergreen Cemetery.

My parents met Marge and Henry in the 1940s after World War II and became our family friends. We have many memories of her. She always knew what was going on around her, and she had her full mental fitness until the very end. We should all be so fortunate.
