In loving memory of our mother, Marlene White, 81 years old, who died peacefully on March 4, 2014, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her 3 younger siblings, Roland, Viola and Blanca, Her four children, Alex (Connie), Robert (Dorothy), Linda (Rich) and Lisa (Tony), Seven grandchildren, Jason, Holly, Colin, Leah, Carly, Clayton and Coleton, Four great grandchildren, Matthew, Naomi, Cody and soon to be born, William.

Marlene was born in Antofagasta, Chile in 1932 to Roland and Blanca. She married the love of her life, Edward in 1957 and was a wonderful mother to us. She was a very beautiful and intelligent woman. She spoke 5 languages, was a classical pianist, an accomplished seamstress, an avid gardener, a questionable cook, a world traveler and a lover of books.

She worked hard and accomplished a lot in her lifetime. She was an airline stewardess for Cintas Airlines, a high school spanish teacher with a Masters Degree, she taught adults at the Foreign Language Center and excelled as a court interpreter and translator.

She will be sorely missed by her family and lifelong friends including the Snyders and the Toyes.

Thank you to the wonderful Memory Care staff at Palisades and for the loving care of Legacy Hospice.

Mom's ashes will be interred with our Dad at Chapel of Our Saviour Columbarium, her beloved church.

Here's a toast to Marlene.. with a Pisco Sour.. Salud!!

Moms life and spirited living was and still is a great influence on me, son#2, to be brave and stick to it, never giving up. She was the living example of what the Lord God teaches us in Philippians 4:13...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

There she is, my beautiful Mom. She taught me many valuable life lessons and virtues. That ambition and hard work will make you a success, not to be afraid to risk a chance and to take the initiative. She lived the values that she taught us. You will forever live in my heart. I Love you Mom.
