I miss you.

Dear Jones Family,

My deepest sympathies. I was very shocked to read that Marlon had passed. I'm so sorry for this news. He and I worked together for many years at MCI. I haven't seen him since then about 20 years ago. But back in the day we played golf together and had a lot of laughs. He was always a very caring man with lots of positive attitude. His laugh in our team room was unmistakable. I can still see him in my mind smiling and up beat. My prayers are with your family Marlon and I have no idea how they will get over this get loss. God Bless Marlon Jones

To the Jones Family,

I never met Marlon personally, but I did enjoy speaking and working with him at Colorado's remote Data Center in Temple Terrace,Florida. I heard from friends that worked and knew him well, that he was a great man.

All the words in the world would not be enough to say how sorry I am for your loss, so remember this-

"Someone so much a part of us can
never really be gone."

I am so sorry to hear about this. I was a good friend of Marlon's and I will truly miss him he was a great man. We worked together both in Virginia and Colorado for many years.

Our thoughts and prayers are for Marlon's family. He was a great guy, with a big smile and a great sense of humor. He will be missed . . .

We lost a good guy. He was my co-worker, friend and opponent on the SOCO circuit. My prayers go out to his wife and family.

Dear Jones Family, I am Deeply saddened to hear the news about Marlon's Passing. Words proboly seem inadequate to express the sadness everyone is feeling today. Marlon was a good friend, we worked together for many years and we had some good times away from work (bowling, watching boxing, etc...). Marlon was a truly kind and generous person. He worked and played with the kids and genuinely enjoyed watching them learn lessons on the court as well as lessons to be a better person. He will be missed. Prayers to the Jones family and Linda.

We are truly sorry to hear about Coach Jones passing. He was such an inpiration to my family. He took my son under his wing and showed him the basic fundamentals of basketball. He continued to follow him thru out school. God has taken an angel and he will be missed by many. My God bless all of you and keep you in his arms.

It has been years since we last talked but we used to work together everyday and I could always count on Marlon's cheerful morning smile and sunny disposition to carry us through the day. His wonderful since of humor and how he put his caring for others ahead of himself will always be remember in my heart.

Marlon's life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Marlon will truely be missed.

I fondly remember Marlon's frequent smile and laugh. I enjoyed working with Marlon for several years and considered him a friend. Deepest sympathy to Linda, Marlon's mother and family. Rest in peace, 'doctor Jones.'

Marlon was a great man that not only put the love of basketball into my 2 boys but taught them respect for the game, life, and each other. I was privileged to spend time with Marlon on the golf course as well where he always let his light shine. I will miss him dearly.

Marlon was one of the first coaches at the y that I met and became fiends with,he always had a great attitude and passion for the game thanks for all you did for the kids!!!

Please accept my deepest condolences. Marlon will be remembered by everyone who knew him.

Though this earthly vessel decays day by day; we have an eternal house where there is nothing to rob it of its luster. We extend our condolences to the family of Marlon and our prayers are with you during this time of transition from here to home.

Prayer and loving thoughts go out to Marlon's Loving Wife Linda, and his Mother. Marlon was a great friend and mentor to my son, whom admired Marlon as a caring devoted Basketball coach. Marlon has touched the hearts of many with his warmth and loyalty. My family will always keep Marlon close to our hearts. We will truly miss our friend.

Marlon was one of the finest men I have met in my years. He was a coach to my son at the YMCA and SOCO. He coached with integrity and passion, fairness and past on his love of the game.
