Martha Lee (Lepsik) Kucera, 81, of Black Forest, Colorado passed away on May 14, 2021 while at home.
She was born April 15, 1940 to John Robert Lepsik and Martha Boughner Lepsik in Youngstown, Ohio. Martha went to high school at Union High School in New Castle, Pennsylvania and graduated in 1958. She had various job experiences during her life, beginning as a Nurse's Aide at Northside Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio and retiring as a Court Officer for the Colorado Springs Municipal Court.
She was an artistic soul who was always interested in creating. She engaged in many mediums whether it was crocheting, sewing, embroidery, making porcelain dolls, crafts, painting, or gardening. Martha loved her garden and enjoyed filling it with flowers. She was fond of sitting there watching the fish in the pond and the birds that visited. She especially enjoyed the hummingbirds who were always present.
Martha loved and was devoted to her family. She supported her family in many ways, including being a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed traveling and took the family on many trips throughout the United States.
Her faith was also very important to her. Martha supported many Catholic charities including the work of the St. Jude's Foundation. She also belonged to the Red Hats and enjoyed her many gatherings and adventures with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Martha Boughner Lepsik and John Robert Lepsik; and her siblings, Jeanette Irene Lepsik Harris and John Robert Lepsik, Jr.
Martha is survived by her husband, Martin John Kucera; her children, Mark Kevin Kucera and Lisa Marie Kucera; her grandchildren, Nichole Ashley Kucera, Lukas Leon Kucera, and Kirra Marie Lindauer; and her siblings Carol Louise Lepsik Raymond, Gary Wayne Lepsik, and Marilyn Sue Lepsik Thomas.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pikes Peak Hospice and Father Brad of Our Lady of the Pines who were so supportive to Martha and her family in her final days.
Memorial Mass, 12:00PM, Thursday, May 27, 2021, Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, 11020 Teachout Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80908.
Her final resting place will be Eastonville Cemetery, Elbert, Colorado 80106.
