Martha Mosley Obituary

Martha R. Mosley went home to her true loving father on December 10, 2016 at 5 PM surrounded by her family and her youngest sister at her home with such dignity, grace and peace. Martha Ruth Mosley was born on November 13, 1931 to Lee Edwards Small Sr. and Zephie Purvis in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She was the sixth of 12 children and the middle of three girls.

Martha attended the public schools of Winn Parish in Louisiana. She graduated from Central High School. Finishing her education she received her degree from Blair School of Business.

Martha met the love of her life Alfred C. Mosley at a Marina Ball dance. They married on June 9, 1952 their union together was completed by their two children Brenda Williams and Alfred Charles Mosley Jr. both of Colorado Springs. Alfred and Martha we're blessed and shared 64 years of marriage the true meaning of til death do us part.

Being a wife of a military man Martha had went on many journeys and excursions in 1956 they were station to Colorado Springs on Fort Carson. From then on they called Colorado their home.

Martha had made a name for herself. Martha had many faces a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a true friend to those who know her. She enjoyed being involved in the community and being part of many organizations as following Eastern Star Magnolia Chapter # 14, Golden Circle, and the daughter of Kadesia, bowling, bingo, Cripple Creek, hand crafting dolls and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents her nine brothers and one sister. She will always be with us and forever missed terribly. She is survived by her husband Alfred C. Mosley, her daughter Brenda Williams, her son Charles Mosley Jr. and her grandchildren Gina, Brian, David, Mailia and her three great grandchildren, Niete, Elijah's Nelah

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21st from 4 PM-7 PM. A service will be held on Thursday, December 22nd at 1:00 PM at Angelus Chapel, 1104 South Circle Drive. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.angelusfuneraldirectors.com
