Missing you so much! There was nobody like you! I hope your watching over me.

Martha, not a day goes by I don't think about you my friend. I was on vacation visiting an old friend I hadn't seen in 18 years in Virginia last week when your passing anniversary came. I was out on a sight seeing boat in the Outer Banks and saw an island of wild ponies and thought about you, and how much you would have liked it. I still feel your love and light every day! Cassy

Martha - Mom and I miss you a great deal, but know that you are in a better place now. Just know that our love and prayers are with you and Les forever. Cherie & Irma

Today is six months since you have passed on. It sometimes feels as though you have been gone for so much longer and at other times as if you'll be right back. We all miss you very much.

Martha was such an inspiration, wonderful friend, and terrific family person. She was also creative and helped many people/animals. Martha was a breath of fresh air, and brightened my days. I look forward to when we can meet again soon! Love, Cherie

Martha was my stepdaughter. Her smile, laugh wit and love are captured in pictures and videos I have. I am lucky to have them. We, the Visser family of California, mourn her loss.

I know you just went ahead to warn everyone about us when we get where we are going, LOL. And I know you would laugh at the dumbness of that thought. But knowing you will be there when I get there brings me comfort. Martha, I did not know you well, but you were a good friend to Cassy, always there to help her, care for her kitties, and provide love and support. For that I thank you. Martha you were a light for so many. Thank-you for reading my Angel cards weekly and for being my best friend. I will light my Guardian Angel candle in remembrance of you every day. I'll be looking for a "sign" from you. I know there will be. God is holding you gently in his arms now...until we meet again... Hugs :)

Martha, you were my neighbor, my dear friend, my advocate, and my "soul sister". I'm so grateful for all the time I spent with you and for all the heart to heart talks we had while you were recovering from this last surgery and over the past 6 years. You were one of the most beautiful souls I've ever met. I felt honored that you felt I was a safe place for you to land during difficult times. You always told me too that I was never alone. That meant the world to me. You, Les, and "the kids" were my "family of choice" and I'll be forever grateful for that. I will miss you terribly my friend. You were an angel walking among us and now you will be a guardian angel watching over Les, your fur babies Maddie, Nick, Max, and your friends. Someday we'll talk again my sweet friend. "Simon", "Sylvia" and "Louie" will miss you too. You loved them as much as I do. Words cannot even describe the hole I feel in my heart right now. Love and prayers to you Les, to all of her family, and friends at this time. May God hold you close as you grieve her loss.

Martha I'm so happy I got to know you on this earth! We came together because of love of animals! You found out about Dogs on Deployment and wanted to know more info! We talked & talked prior to that interview on your show! I'm a better person because I got to know you! Thank you God for allowing me this opportunity and please take care of our angel!

There will never be enough words to express how much I love you. You impacted my life in so many ways. I know you are my Angel now. I'll never let go of you.

Martha always cared and was always willing to help. This lady knew how to come from her heart and share her strength and courage with love. Heaven will be Blessed to have her. God Bless.

Martha was a light. We shared in a purpose grounded in service of others and it was here we met, lifelong friends. The last time I spoke with her she was selling a couch and I called to buy it for a young single mother, as soon as Martha new it was a young mother freshly out on her own she immediately wanted to give it to her and refused money. That was Martha. May you rest in Peace.
