Marvin Ottosen Obituary

Marvin Lee Ottosen, 83, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2015 in Englewood, Colorado surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Ottosen was born in Provo, Utah in 1932 and was married to Joleen Swain on June 23, 1953 in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, UT. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. In Industrial Engineering.

He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War attaining the level of Captain. He was active in the LDS church and held many prominent church positions during his adult life. He was president of four different corporations and was recognized for significant method improvements, efficiencies and technical innovations in multiple industries.

He was a loving family man and coached community and church youth baseball, softball, basketball and tennis for many years. He loved the outdoors, was a passionate fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed hiking, camping and riding horses.

Mr. Ottosen was survived by his son, Blake from Englewood, CO and three daughters: Valene from Park City, UT, Sheri from Lone Tree, CO and JaNae from Manitou Springs, CO.
