July 24, 1931 - March 13, 2018
Marvin Edwin Rankin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on March 13, 2018. He was a resident of Fountain, Colorado for 47 years.
Marvin was born on July 24, 1931 to Edwin and Geraldine (Sprague) Rankin. He served in the United States Army, for 27 years, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam War. After retiring from the military as a Master Sergeant he went on to become a real-estate agent.
Marvin was an avid fisher, hunter, and golfer and enjoyed working in his yard. His greatest joy was being with family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Rankin; his children: Marvin Rankin (wife, Dianna) and Arlene Seipel (husband, Joe); his siblings: Jim Reale, Carol Wallace, and Leonard Reale; his grandchildren: Andrew (wife, Becky), Wesley (wife, Beckie), Nathan (wife, Ami), and Olivia; his great-grandchildren: Katherine, Violet, and Summer.
Services will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 US Hwy 85-87, viewing is at 10am followed by a Mass at 11am. Private interment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
