Mary Barringer Obituary

Mary L. Barringer, age 80, a resident of Colorado Springs since the early 1950s, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Mary Louise Koch was born on May 3, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Philip and Myrtle (Miller) Koch. She was a 1948 graduate of Visitation High School in Chicago. She met and later married Arlie Lee Barringer on August 4, 1961 in Colorado Springs. This woman of faith will be best remembered for her love of family and her love of life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and enjoyed making rosaries and latch hook handiwork. She is survived by her husband, Arlie of Colorado Springs; her son: Richard Scott (and wife, Kathy ) Barringer of Colorado Springs and her sister: Dorothy Staley of Monee, Illinois. Also surviving her are her two wonderful grandchildren: Philip and Kimberly. A Memorial Mass will be said at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904. She will be inurned privately at the Shrine of Remembrance Chapel Mausoleum, Columbarium of Faith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. Blessed be her memory.
