Margaret, as she was known to all, was joyfully welcomed home into God's loving arms

Thursday February 18, 2016, just short of her 102nd birthday.

She was born to Ralph and Inez Brenton and raised in Kansas City Missouri, with her sister Virginia and brother Richard. After graduating with a BFA from the University of Kansas, Margaret learned the art of etching while employed by the Siegrist Engraving Company. Her etchings have been exhibited in National Print Annuals in New York, California, Kansas and Missouri. Margaret has also had several books of her poetry and artwork published. In 1993, Margaret moved to Colorado Springs, summering in Green Mountain Falls, where her love of nature was evident in her beautiful paintings of the area.

Margaret was a member of the Church of the Wildwood in Green Mountain Falls and she also attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs. Her faith in God was manifested not only in her art work , but in her generosity, her kind and gentle spirit, and her amazing sense of grace.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Leah Brenton, her nieces and nephew and their spouses; Nancy and Gene Hoskins, Jim Brenton, Linda and Jay Jacobs, and Carol and Dale Barbeau, her cousins; Jenny and Pete Duskey, Mark Dubach, Brent Dubach, and Deb Donley, and six great-nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews. Margaret will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
