Mary Burleson Obituary

Mary Ann (Robertson) Burleson Mary Ann (Robertson) Burleson, 64, of Marysville, WA passed away 13 April 2014 from vascular disease. She leaves behind the centers of her world, her daughter Deidre M. Chamberlain and grandson Michael J. Chamberlain. Mary Ann is also survived by her stepdaughters Kelly A. (Jerry) Guevara of Tulare, CA and Shelly L. Kenny (Paul) of Morro Bay, CA and their families, her sisters Joanne (Doug) Elmer of Orange, CA and Kathy (Ken) Valliere of Amesbury, MA plus numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband Phil, her parents Geo. Robertson and Catherine (Hickey) and her brothers Geo. Robertson, Jr and David Robertson. Mary Ann was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada where her family lived for a short time because of her father's career. She grew up in Garden Grove, CA and N. Reading, MA, before moving back to CA when she turned 18. She met the love of her life Phillip C. Burleson in the L.A., CA area before moving to Tulare, CA; they were married for 8 years until Phil's passing in 1981. She had worked at Denny's in Visalia, CA and Santa Maria, CA before the vascular disease made it difficult for her to walk without a cane. Mary Ann moved to WA State to be closer to her grandson and daughter and had lived with them for the last 20 years. Her daughter and grandson would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at Harborview Medical Center who cared for Mary Ann for the last two weeks of her life; you made her comfortable as well as made sure we were ok. Mary Ann wished to be cremated with no service; the family is respecting her wishes. Hi Mary Ann, we had so much fun together didn't we? I will always have fond memories of me laughing so hard going as fast as i can to win those little pink flowers in the game we played. I do not think i laughed that hard in years! My grandchildren could not fiqure out who i was talking too. Or all our deep talks about our family's we both loved so much. The only thing i regret is we did not meet up for coffee. I was going to come up this summer, and meet you face to face. Thank you for these wonderful memories Mary Ann.. May God be with your daughter and grandson who you loved so much, they made sure you had a wondeful life. I will see you in Heaven my friend, until then enjoy yourself because now your free of all physical problems.. Happy Birthday Mary Ann..
