Mary Crimmins Obituary

Mary Lillian Crimmins beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went peacefully to her eternal resting place on April 18, 2011. Celebration of Life: Mary Lillian Crimmins was born February 28, 1931 to Charles J Forrester and Mary E Fahey in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Mary graduated from Stetson High School in Randolph Mass in 1949, attended IBM school and became a key punch operator. Mary skated every week in Norwood, Mass where she met and eventually married her roller-skating sweetheart :Jack" in Alaska in 1951. This was the start of her extensive travel around the world, while Jack served in the US Air Force. Mary and Jack relocated from France to Alamogordo, N.M. in 1966, where Mary lived and worked for 32 years until 1998. She then spent the last 13 years in Colorado Springs. Mary was a member of the hospital auxiliary where she enjoyed her volunteer work. In 1986, Mary was appointed a Special Minister of the Holy Communion and loved being able to serve many years as a Eucharist Minister. Mary so loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that their lives were enriched by her devotion, dignity and grace. Mary will be sorely missed, however her presence will be felt everyday in the hearts of those who were honored to be blessed by her love and compassion. Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Crimmins, parents and brothers, Harold and Charles Forrester. Survivors include her children, Dan Crimmins (Brigitte ) of Sierra Vista, Az, Donna Crimmins-Bonnell (Gerald) of Arlington Tx, Dave Crimmins (Mary) of Colorado Springs, Co, Darrell Crimmins (Dawn) of Newberry, Fl, Dennis Crimmins (Nell) of Alamogordo, N.M., and Doug Crimmins of The Colony, Tx; 14 grandchildren, 15 Great Children, brother, John Forrester , and many nieces and nephews. A vigil service will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be recited immediately following the vigil. A funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2011 at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home. To all my cousins in the Crimmins family my heartfelt condolences. I am happy I was able to see my cousin Mary a couple of times in these past few years.My mother thought of her as another daughter. She was a great and gracious lady.
