No words can express how much Mary will be missed by all of us who knew her. Mary and my mother were friends in the League of Women Voters, and it was a great comfort to be working together with Mary at Penrose Library when my mother died in 1981. I was so fortunate that we could continue our friendship and enjoy movies, lunches, and an occasional dessert treat together after Mary retired. She and I shared an interest in politics and in classical music as well as in books. My deepest sympathy to all her family.

I first meet Mary when coming to PPLD to get my genealogy started, it was her to lead me in the right direction.I always looked up to her with those impossible questions.Loosing Mary is a great loss, but coming in contact with her was truly a blessing. Mary you were a very charming Lady, we will all miss you...Rest In Peace Mary and fly with the Angles.

When I begun my genealogy journey it was Mary who led me in the correct direction. The first time I laid eyes upon my gg grandparents in the 1880 El Paso County Census, I don't know who was more excited, Mary or I. She was a dear and charming lady and one to always look to with those seeming impossible questions. If she didn't have the answer, and she usually did, she would help you find it. A great loss, but for those who came in contact with the wonderful lady, we have been truly blessed.

Mary rode with my wife and I to the PPGS meetings on several occasions. It was always a pleasure as she was such a wonderful conversationalist. We especially enjoyed her telling us about growing up in SE Kansas and her early years in Colorado Springs. Our sympathy goes to the family as I am sure you will miss her even more than we will. She was truly a delightful lady.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mary, but know she was a wonderful and caring person. I know this because she raised a son who is a thoughtful and loyal friend, always yearning to learn more and contribute all he can to the world and those around him, and a father and husband who cherishes his family above all. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of Mary's family in this difficult time.

Mary was a treasure! So sweet and a dedicated employee at PPLD and in her retirement as a volunteer for the Mobile Library Services. I am thankful to have known her. Her beautiful spirit will be missed.

I had the pleasure of Mary's company several times when I picked her up to attend the DAR luncheons. She had such a special 'wit' about her and was wonderful company. She will be missed.
