Mary Hofreiter Obituary

I loved you. You were one of my closest friends from the time we were little girls. I remember blowing out candles on one another's cakes! We made cookies and layed out in the sun and chatted bout boys. Then we grew up and married and had kids and shared our stories. We didn't get enough time together but someday we'll have the chance to catch up. I always wondered which of us would get the most wrinkles and go gray first. I guess I know the answer and I sit here feeling so sad for what we have all lost. I hope you're having the biggest party with your loved ones of the human and furry persuasion that have gone on before you. We love you !

I will light a candle for you every time I do for my lost loved ones as you have come to mean so much to me. Thank you again for allowing me to be apart of your life since before Alden was born.. always know you are loved . Your words to me back to you ...

I inherited a great stepdaughter when I married Mary's father, enjoying great visits to Pennsylvania and New Hampshire as well as when she came to me. Blessings to you, Mary, and to your dear boys, Alden and Henry.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed!

I had the privilege of working with Mary since she became a Hospitalist in 2011. She was a woman of grace and dignity. She treated everyone with kindness and courtesy. What a devastating loss for not only her friends and family, but for the community. I will miss her beautiful smile. May she be at peace.

Bill and I are grateful to have been patients of Dr. Hofreiter. She was a caring physician who was also a great listener and excellent diagnostician. We send our deepest condolences and know that she will be greatly missed by many.

I am very sad to read of Mary's passing. She was my doctor until she left our Primary Care practice and I just loved her. There was never a time that she didn't treat me with respect and never pushed to get out the door. We always talked about both our families and I just know how much she loved and adored her family. I will keep her family in my prayers during this difficult time. I was so glad to have known her.

I am so glad Mary got to see Alden shine recently on the stage at the Keene Middle School holiday concert.,also many times on the Moco stages. I am also glad i got to congratulate her on his awesomeness which she so proudly accepted. I am so sorry for your huge loss Ormont and Hofreiter family.

Words can not express my shock and sadness over the news of your passing. You and i go way way back and i'll cherish all the fun times we had back in high school hanging out in red rose gate and going to grateful dead concerts. Those were some of the greatest times of my life.i will always cherish those memories .RIP and god bless you Mary

Some Stars burn too bright to be truly appreciated in this crazy world of ours. You are that star. Each night from now until my days are done I will look to the heavens on the darkest coldest night and find you. It won't be hard, because you'll be there as you were when you were here with us; aside of us at times when we needed you so. I was proud to be thought of as your friend and blessed to have kissed your cheek. I never understood exactly why you jumped from a perfectly good plane... but now I do.
