Mary Keeling Obituary
Mary Lane was born and raised in Garden City, KS on March 24, 1958 to Melvin and Mary Dimitt. Living in Colorado the majority of her adult life, Mary Lane made a life as a delicious cook, healing massage therapist, and master of deadheading petunias. She has accomplished many things, but her life is about the joy she has brought to others, her ability to converge with nature and beauty, and the generosity she has shown to so many.
Her philosophy in life was "to have a friend was to be an engaging friend." Her host of friends near and far will truly miss her short phone calls "just checking up on you." Her nieces and nephews will miss their message guided talks and visits with her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Jessica, and grandsons, Adrian and Lakaye, of Colorado Springs; siblings Lee Ann Shook of Ulysses, KS; Terra Dimitt of Hoisington, KS; Roger Dimitt of Hutchinson, KS; Chris Dimitt of Nixa, MO; step-sister Norma Overmiller and step-brother David Thomas; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.
Those who have preceded her in death are her parents and step-father Roger Thomas, brother David Dimitt and sister Sherry Odendahl.
A celebration of life will be held at The Parkside, 127 W Ryus Ave in LaVeta, CO on October 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to assist the family may be made to In Memory of Mary Keeling c/o Jessica Keeling at HFCU, 1610 Eglin St, ATTN: Teller Line, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731.

Jessica, I am so so sorry for this event. Sadly, I only received a call today, 10/8 letting me know she was ill. When I tried to call her number of course it did not work.When I went to look online for more info, I found the death notice. I am just beside myself. She was a wonderful, caring and generous woman. I counted her among one of my dearest Colorado friends. I am in Pennsylvania now and recovering from more surgery, so will be unable to physically attend the service at Parkside... My love to you and children. Patty Laurie

You will be missed. Thank you for always remembering Eli when Adrian needed a play date when they were younger. Eli always wanted to make the things you talked about. Science experiments, mummy dogs, and Halloween. Just thinking about you and your infectious laugh make me smile. The boys and Jess were blessed to have you so close. I'll keep them in my prayers.
