Mary Newbill Obituary

Mary Jane Newbill, age 82, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on April 13, 2007. She was born on January 10, 1925 in Yates Center, Kansas to Lucinda Francis and W. Leslie Williamson. Mary Jane was one of six children. She met and married Ray Newbill in 1940. After he served in the military, they settled in Colorado Springs and raised three children. Mary Jane worked alongside her husband in a family business, Newbill's Alignment, for twenty years before his retirement. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and reading, and taught her children and grandchildren many life skills. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Barbara; a sistes: Lucille Francis, and Celesta; a brother: Carl; and her loving husband: Ray. She is survived by daughters: Shirley Morrical or Marysville, WA, and Carolyn Newbill of Colorado Springs; three grandchildren: Wayne and Ed Evans and Kristy Morrical of Marysville, WA; and four great-grandchildren: Jerick, Delaney, Jordan and Jaylee. She is survived by brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation was held on Wednesday, April 18 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. A service will be at Swan-Law Thursday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. with a private burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
