MARY LOU ROESLER
January 27, 1927 February 11, 2021
Mary Lou Roesler, devoted wife, sweetest mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away February 11, 2021. She was born January 27, 1927 in Libertyville, IL to Fern and Emmett Gover. Mary Lou met her husband Paul at the University of Missouri and they were married on November 18, 1950. Mary Lou was preceded in death by Paul, brother Dale, great granddaughter Adelyn and many dear friends. She is survived by her children Paul (Marie), Robin, Sue (Tracy) and Chris (Rick); grandchildren Nolan (Krystal), Adrienne, Shayla (Kalani), and Owen; and great grandchildren Ava and Eliana.
Mary Lou was an avid hiker and had many adventures across the Southwest, Mexico and the Swiss Alps. When hiking was no longer an option she continued to walk through Palmer Park, then Nancy Lewis Park. She was making her twice a day walks up until very recently. Her love of nature was instilled in her children, for which they are very grateful.
Mary Lou was a talented seamstress and excellent cook. She loved to make meals for her family and lived for when they were all together.
Mary Lou was a docent for the Fine Arts Center for forty years and supported the arts in many ways. She and Paul were founding members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Her family would like to thank everyone at Mackenzie Place, Amada Senior Care, Gentle Shepherd Home Care, and Bristol Hospice. She adored you all.
We are so sad and will miss her until we see her again, but celebrate her life and feel peace that she is in Heaven. A memorial service will be held for family members at a later date.
