Mary Sparks Obituary

Mary A. Sparks, age 89, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008. Mrs. Sparks was born August 18, 1918 in Wild Horse, Colorado to Patrick H. Connelley and Mary Ida (Walker) Connelley. She lived in Harlingen, Texas for many years before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1970. Her husband, Fred A. Sparks preceded her in death. Mrs. Sparks retired from Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs in 1984. She was a Roman Catholic. Mrs. Sparks is survived by two daughters, Betty Jo Sparks of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mary Ellen Thayer of Vancouver, Washington; a sister, Catherine Dutro of Karval, Colorado; a son-in-law Alan J. Thayer of Vancouver, Washington; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren of Washington and Oregon; and several nephews. Mary wished to be cremated and her ashes to be placed in the Kit Carson Cemetery Family Plot in Kit Carson, Colorado on August 18, 2008.
