Mary Torrence Obituary

Mary Elizabeth (Kelly) Torrence, 94, a long-time Colorado Springs resident, passed away on September 20, 2008 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born October 8, 1913 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Quinn Kelly. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon; her sister, Margaret Geick and a brother, Pat Kelly. She is survived by her brother, William Kelly; sister-in-law and friend, Ruth Kelly; her children, Beverly (John) Zupanic of Pueblo, Robert (Chona) Torrence of Pueblo, Ronald (Christine) Torrence of San Antonio, Texas and Barbara (Ed) Brown of Pueblo; grandchildren, D.J. and Justin Zupanic, Holly and Ian Brown, William and Sally Torrence, and Patrick Torrence and several nieces and a nephew. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother with a sense of humor and a smile to match. She was a little woman with a large heart. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday September 24, 2008 at St Mary's Cathedral 22 W. Kiowa Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
