A sudden loss that saddens us all. Matt is the type of kid that every coach loves to teach; the spirit that keeps a coach coming back year after year. Open-minded, vivacious, dynamic. A wonderful kid that we had the pleasure of knowing and watch grow. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Frank, Chris, Mandi,and Frankie,
We were neighbors when we lived in Niceville, Florida and our kids were friends with your kids. My son, Cody, was born shortly after Matthew. We lost contact when we moved to Washington. I just tried to find you and your family and found this terrible news. I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Our prayers our with you during these sad times.

Dear Frank,Chris,Frankie and Mandy,Our family prays for you daily. We can,t even imagine your loss and sorrow. But God is faithful! He knows our pain and is there to comfort us.I've read about what a great young man he was from parents and friends.I only met him and the family once and your Dad always keeps me up to date.I was thrilled to see what a close family you have. Because I have been a believer in your children are a gift from God,and our responsibility to raise them up in the way they should go.To be a loving parent and to give them guidence, even tough love when needed. We never know how long the Lord will give them to us,but He promises when He takes them home to be with Him, that we will see them again. And we stand on those promises. That is our comfort!I pray daily that he will wrap His arms around you, give you strength to get through the days and nights ahead. but most of all to fill them with His love and comfort.Frank, I love you and your family and will continue to pray for healing.I hear the family loves the new puppy! Total unconditional love!! God bless you all.Love Aunt Virginia and all our family.

Frank, Chris, Mandi and Frankie,
Matt was one of those special boys, who always seemed to have a smile on his face...what a blessing it was to know him. Jesus said, "Let the children come to me...for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." We are so sad about your loss, but know that God promises to replace your sorrow with joy. Our prayers are with you.

That’s Matt out there skating like a rocket,
getting ready to pick the goalie’s pocket.
The goalie is nervous and not quite ready as here comes
Matt, better known as Mr. Steady.
He flies down the rink quick as a flash,
in a typical break-a-way dash.
The fans yell for Matt to take a shot,
but he is still looking for the ideal spot.
Here he comes down the left wing and
buries his shot with a mighty fling.
The goalie didn’t even see the puck and only
had a fraction of a second to duck.
On comes the scoreboard light as
Matt has scored again tonight.
Matt will never be forgotten and God bless him and his family.

I have been a classemate of Matthew since the second grade at Pinion Valley. I didn't know Matt well, only an occasional hello in the halls when we were in school together. Although, I didn't get the chance to know him as a friend, I did get the opportunity to know him as a person and with that it is so hard to see Matthew a really genuine kind person leave us. My family will pray for him, and for the rest of your family.
