Matthew Stevenson, Jr. departed this life on Friday, August 13, 2021 at his residence in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was 75 and a native of Labadieville, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria H. Stevenson; 1 daughter: Cassandra S. Horne (Shawn) and 1 son: Matthew L. Stevenson; 4 grandchildren: Shawn Horne, Jr., Jayla L. Horne, Jaylen L. Horne, and Ciera M. Groves; 4 sisters, 1 godchild: Terrell Broussard, his best friend: Lawrence Broussard; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Matthew Stevenson Sr. and Edna S. Joseph, 1 brother and 1 sister.
His memorial service will be held at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory located at 1104 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910 on August 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
