Maureen Ann Murray
Maureen Ann Glynn Murray, 75, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. A Watervliet native, Maureen lived most of her life in Watervliet. from 1995 until 2011, she lived in Colorado Springs. Maureen attended Catholic Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College, and worked as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service in Albany.
However, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the most joy. Maureen faced numerous obstacles raising five children but was a strong woman who overcame those obstacles, empowering her children to become strong adults. Maureen was an amazing woman, the rock of her family, admired for her perseverance and resilience.
Maureen was preceded in death by her brothers, John and James, son-in-law, Gary Heffner, and granddaughters Lauren Elizabeth Moore and Nichole Julia Moore.
She is survived by her children, Colleen Marie Heffner, Kimberly Ann Moore, Francis Robert "Butch" (Gina), Michael Edward (Susan), and Kathleen Elizabeth Murray-Leet (Barry), and by her 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at Parker Bros.
Memorial Funeral Home, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, NY. A funeral will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10am at the funeral home with interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, Maureen's family requests donations to the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr. #100, Albany, NY 12205. Condolence book and extended obituary at parkerbrosmemorial.com.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Maureen. We lived next door to each other on 3rd Ave in Watervliet and she used to babysit for me. Like she didn't have enough to do with her 5 children. You will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.

I lived at Hudson Shores Plaza Apartments for the past year now and I was introduced to Maureen I believe in the 2nd or 3rd day I was living there. She was very nice to me and every time I would see I would say hello and good morning or good afternoon or evening to her, she always smiled at me when I said it to her. God Bless you Maureen I will miss you great deal!! You were a great friend always liked it when you had your cowboy hat on and when they called you "Annie Oakley" Rest In Peace my sweet friend!! I love you very much!! God Bless your family at this difficult time they are going through! I will always remember you and your advice that you would give me about certain things! Thank you for being a friend to me at Hudson Shores Plaza Apartments for the year I have been here, it was great knowing you!!
