Maurice King, 88, of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2017. A celebration of life memorial will be held later in the year.

Maurice was born August 3, 1929 in Beatrice, NE to Guy and Edna King. He was the youngest of 8 children and only one to be born in a hospital and to graduate from High School (1948). He was the last surviving of his siblings. He grew up on the family farm and in 1951 was drafted into the Army where he served for 2 years. Following his service, he then completed his education in radio and television technology. He hired on with AT&T in 1955 and worked for them 35 years in both Sidney, NE and Longmont, CO. June 3, 1956 he married the beautiful Eva Mae Slagle, the love of his life for 62 years!
Maurice is survived by Eva (Slagle) King, and their two children, Peggy (King) Littleton of Colorado Springs and her children, Maj. Shawn Littleton (USAF), Tiffany (Littleton) Matheson, Brittany (Littleton) Betz, their spouses and a great grandson, Tate Betz. Roy King and his wife, Lark, of Highlands Ranch, CO and their two sons, Nicholas and Brandon King. He also has many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews whose lives have been enriched due to his love for others and the Lord Jesus.
In 1990, Maurice retired from AT&T, and Eva retired from teaching in St. Vrain Valley schools. They sold their home and became 'full timer RVer's ' for 20 years crossing North America many times and having memorable adventures with their children and grandchildren.
