Max Stettner Obituary

Max Stettner
Max Stettner, 87, of Allentown, passed away in his home on December 5, 2013. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Meyer and Frieda (Shipper) Stettner. He was the husband of Shelley A. (Benstock) Stettner and they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Max was a graduate of Allentown High School. He also graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Lehigh University where he earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He was also an instructor at Lehigh University. He was President and co-owner of Penn Linen and Uniform Services in the Lehigh Valley until retiring in 1998. Max served in the U.S. Air Force and he was a former member of the Board of Directors at the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley. He was a member of Temple Beth El, Allentown. Survivors: Wife, Shelley; children, Mark Stettner, Beth Delin and her husband Scott, Lisa Glennon and her husband David, Daniel Stettner and his wife Karen, Ronald Smith; grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Stettner, Arianna, Noah and Benjamin Delin and Kenny, Zachary, Jeremy and Samantha Glennon. Max was predeceased by his sister, Anna Fraenkel. Services: 1 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth El, 1305 Springhouse Road, Allentown. Interment will follow at Beth El Memorial Park, Whitehall. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Allentown. Contributions: Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley, 702 N. 22nd St., Allentown 18104 or to Temple Beth El, 18104.
