Dearest family and friends,
Megan Alexis Posey was born 1/7/1982 in Colorado Springs to David Wayne Hayner and Sarah Priscilla Nordberg. She was loved and nurtured by the woman who raised her, Regena Newell (Gary). She had best friends in her sister Taryn Scarborough and stepbrother Ben Miles.
Megan graduated from Mesa Ridge High School in 2000 and graduated from College America with an associate degree in medical assisting. She worked as a CNA and scheduler at Brookdale Assisted Living where she made lasting friendships, she also thoroughly enjoyed her work at Grace Point Daycare.
On Jan 14, 2005, Megan married William "Bo" Posey, Jr. and together they raised their son, William "Liam" Posey III, into a wonderful young man. She is survived by her husband and son, both of Colorado Springs, her father David Wayne Hayner of Pennsylvania, Mother Sarah Priscilla Nordberg of Colorado Springs, stepmother Regena Newell (Gary) of Pueblo, sister Taryn Scarborough (David) of Lake Charles, LA, and stepbrother Ben Miles of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by a son, Tyler LaRoche.
Other family includes mother-in-law Linda Posey, SIL Stephanie Williams (Shannon), SIL Heather Redd (John), SIL Erica Babcock (David). Megan had many nieces and nephews that she loved; Dyllan, Jake, Shane, Evelyn, Hannah (Justin), Amelia, Blake, Haley, Carlee, Johnny, Taylor (Adam), Tanner, Brynnan, Jynnasis, Julia (Leo), Karlee (Theon) and DJ (Samantha).
On Feb 17th, 2024, Megan departed this Earth. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. However, we find comfort in knowing that she is always with us in spirt and her soul has found peace. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm at 6228 Cumbre Vista Way, Colorado Springs.
