Melissa Borer Obituary
FREMONT: Melissa A. Borer, 59, of Fremont died Saturday morning at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was born January 13, 1954 in Fremont, OH, the daughter of Gordon Hooten and Amy Spaulding. On November 7, 1975 she married Dale Borer, he survives.
Melissa was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church , she enjoyed helping others, taking care of visitors and cooking. Melissa loved singing, traveling, camping, was an avid collector of angels, and had much love for her cats, Fifi and Bebe.
Surviving is her husband of 38 years, Dale Borer of Fremont, OH; children, Kristin (Jason Sinford) Hetrick of San Diego, CA; Samantha Leber, Brant Borer, Brian (Jennifer) Borer all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren: Jenna Hetrick, Emma Sinford, Kayla Haubert, Taylor Smith; brothers, William (Cruz) Hooten and Brad Spaulding both of Fremont, OH; aunt, Mary (Pete) Trout of Huron, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 2-5 P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 206 N. Park Avenue, Fremont, OH with Rev. Daniel Orr officiating. Inurnment will follow in the courtyard columbarium of St. Paul's Episcopal.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kokm.net

Dear, Dale so sorry for the loss of my good friend, Missy. I worked with her a few yrs.at whirlpool. We had so much fun together & sang at a local church with her. I will sorely miss her.prayers to you and family.

Every once in awhile I get the pleasure of working with someone who makes me love my job. Missy was one of those people. Missy was successful in life. She lived well, laughed much, gained he respect of children, leaved the world better than she found it, never failed to look for the best in others or give the best of herself. This is how we should all try and live our lives.
