Our sweet Melody, age 62, of Colorado Springs, passed away Saturday, 11 September, after a long bout with cancer.
Melody Kae was born in Frankfort, Indiana, graduated 1977 & moved to Colorado in 1983.
In Oklahoma, Mel attended Bartlesville Wesleyan College. Later, she made us proud upon receiving a Bachelor's degree from DeVry. She worked as a waitress, bookkeeper, office worker and computer assembler.
Mel collected holiday bears, loved cats, fireworks, the Indie Colts, aspens, the colours blue and purple. A believer in Christ, she regularly attended Ellicott and Good Shepherd Methodist Churches. We appreciate their love and support for our sister.
She is preceded in death by parents Paul and Dorothy. Is survived by siblings Jerome and Dallas K. as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces. She is loved and will be missed.

Saddened to hear of Melody's passing. I called her often and she was always upbeat . She was a member of our choir and United Methodist Women at Good Shepherd. We will miss Melody.
