Merril Spielman Obituary
Merril Boruchin Spielman

Merril Boruchin Spielman of Manitou Springs peacefully transitioned with family and friends by her bedside after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter, Shira Spielman. Merril was predeceased by her husband, Glen "Sonny" Spielman, Jr.
A longtime resident of Manitou Springs, Merril had a Master's in Education and dedicated her career to educating the young minds in Manitou and Colorado Springs school districts. Once retired, she volunteered abroad to enrich students eager to learn English in Bali, Vietnam, Turkey, Spain, and other locations. She was the Dean of the Refugee Film School and a docent at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Merril's exuberance for life and her love of people were also evident through her work as security personnel at the Air Force Academy, Colorado College, and as an Uber driver.

Merrill was a long-time friend. Enjoyed teaching with her at EVHS in gypsum and lived keeping up with her adventures and her pictures from Deerhaven. She is missed.
