Michael Chickering Obituary

Michael A. Chickering, age 33, passed away May 22, 2012 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Coos Bay, Oregon on January 3, 1979, son of Chick and Sharie Chickering. He was the oldest of their two children and is survived by his parents and sister Jessica. Mike returned to Reedsport, Oregon his freshmen year of high school after living in Littleton, Colorado. While in high school he played football and wrestled and loved every minute. After graduating high school he served three years in the Army and was honorably discharged in 2001. He then made his home in Colorado Springs to be near friends and family. Michael was most proud of his accomplishments in ultimate fighting. The highlight of his fighting career was his win of the ISKA heavyweight championship. A memorial is planned for June 9, 2012 at 5 pm at Kelly O'Brians. His family requests that you join them in celebration of his life by toasting your favorite memory. Chick was someone who truly had a unique and genuine personality who highly valued his friendships with others. I am grateful for the many memories I have of him during and after high school. Thank you Chick for all the support you gave to me over the years and for your continued friendship. I miss you greatly. You will not be forgotten.
