Michael James Durliat, 59, of Denver Colorado, passed away on June 19, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Mike was born on March 12, 1964 in Contra Costa County, California, to Jack and Patricia Durliat. Michael graduated from Palmer High School, and participated in several sports including football and soccer.
Michael worked in the construction industry in his earlier years, and in farming for the last several years.
Michael lived with his long-term friend and business partner, Carol Aniello. Together, they owned and operated an Inn in Belize.
Friends were appreciative of Mike's empathy for other people, and often looked to him to help when others might not. He had a big heart. Michael was proud of his family, and happily participated in reunions that occurred within the Durliat Clan. His love for music was lifelong.
Michael was an avid skier and spent many weekends attacking the Breckenridge, Vail and Crested Butte mountains. Many vacations were spent in various Mexican towns, mostly oceanside, which were a continuous source of outdoor fun for Michael, as was The Diamond Bar T Ranch in Frasier, Colorado. He helped to define its borders in a family outing, when it became a holding of the family in 1991.
He is survived by his parents Jack and Patricia; his brother, Mark Durliat; sister in-law, Melissa Durliat; sister, Renee Apfelbeck; niece, Ashly Apfelbeck; nephew, Luc Durliat; and aunt, Yvonne Durliat.
A family-only Celebration of Life will be held in Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to their favorite charity, in memory of Michael.

I went school and played sports with Michael. We boxed in the walk out basement of the family´s home. I treasure those years. So sorry to hear about Michael´s passing. Between Micheal telling us to "cut it out" and Marks "hyperspasmastic...."comments we always were cracking up! My best to Mr. and Mrs. Durliat

Dear Jack and Pat...a voice out of the past! This is Vickie Madigan (now Rohlfs). For some reason was thinking of Jack tonight and looked up his name and Michael´s obit popped up. Needless to say, I was shocked and want to express my condolence in the most loving way!
Jack was the absolute best boss I ever had in my career and I adored Pat. Extending sympathy to you, as parents, and your family! Love, Vickie
