Michael Frase Obituary

Michael F. (Mike) Frase, our hero, passed away December 10, 2016, at the age of 72.

A long-time resident of Manitou Springs and a Manitou Springs High School graduate Class of 1962 (Go Mustangs!). Mike was a man admired and adored by many. He worked as general manager of Brookhart's Building Centers and Overhead Door Company, and also worked with Holladay Brothers Construction Company. An entrepreneur at heart, he started his own business as a specialized craftsman. Mike was an avid outdoorsmen who loved hunting, fishing, sking, and rooting for his champion Broncos. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, willingness to always lend a hand, and being there for a friend, of which he had many.

He leaves behind his daughter Traci Frase-Pamplin and son David Pamplin, grandson Casey Dean Frase-Pamplin, brothers Gary (Donna) Frase and family, Steven (Linda) Frase and family, Sue and Jens Frase, and Kay, Natalie, and David Carlson. Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jeanette Frase and his younger brother Richard Frase.

Mike's family will hold a celebration of his life in Manitou Springs in spring 2017 at the Keg.

I remember when Mike would cover the phone for me before I got in at OHD. I would normally be 2 minutes late. I said maybe I should change my start time to 7:35. He said, "no DD, then you would come at 7:37!"
He was always so good with taking care of his customers. I am so sorry for your loss Traci.

I posted this on Facebook but I think it bears repeating. Mikey Frase was one of the funniest men I ever knew. He was a good friend and I will miss him always. I hope he is with Bob Thomas and Gary Holladay having a cold one. Traci I am so sorry for your loss.
