Michael Hammitt Obituary
Mike graduated in 1979 from WJ Palmer High School & 1981 from Pikes Peak Community College, both in Colorado Springs. He served in the US Navy from 1981 until his retirement in 1998 as an Opticalman. He worked in Bremerton as a plumber for 10 years before returning to the US Navy Civil Service as an Optical Repairman specializing in submarine periscopes from 2008 until his death.
He is survived by his beloved life partner, Kimberly Hinners of Bremerton WA; sister Cynthia (Rick) Wainwright of San Bernardino CA; brothers Frank (Pam) & Robin both of Colorado Springs, James of Roseville CA & Edward (Claire) of Raleigh NC; many nieces & nephews; & his beloved life family of sons, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren & his fur kids Willow & Aloha.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Bremerton WA, followed by a graveside service & burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wreaths Across America or a Veterans' support organization of your choice.
