Michael Higgins Obituary

Higgins, Michael R.Michael R. Higgins, 58, of Shawnee, KS, formerly of Allentown, PA, died suddenly on Oct. 29. Born and raised in Elkins Park, PA, he was the son of Catherine Strosser (Richard), of Warminster, and the late Robert Higgins, (Margaret) of Allentown. Michael was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt H.S. and LaSalle University, where he received his B.A. in Management and was a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. He worked for Binney & Smith, Easton, PA and Hallmark Co, Kansas City. Michael was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lenexa, KS. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Barbara and her children, Natalie Blake and Nathan (Anne) Blake. Michael was previously married to Adelaide Murta Higgins, with whom he had two loving and devoted daughters, Mary Bluemle (Timothy) of Indiana, PA, and Bridget Higgins of Allentown. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathleen (Mark); Nancy; Karen (Arthur); Maureen; and their children; step-family, Michael, Mark, Anina, Richard, Andrew, Joseph and Timothy Strosser and their families; and half-brothers, James and Daniel Higgins. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service, Saturday, Nov. 29, at Ann's Choice Chapel, 33000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA.
