I KNEW MIKE ABOUT 32 YEARS AGO WORKING AT THE LANTERN RESTAURANT IN AKRON, OHIO. HE WOULD COME IN WITH HIS FRIENDS. MIKE WAS VERY LAID BACK. WHEN HE WOULD TALK IT WAS VERY SLOW. YOU HELD ON TO EVERY WORD SO YOU WOULDNT MISS A SOUND. WHEN MIKE WOULD SMILE IT LIT UP HIS WHOLE FACE, IT WAS A GENUINE SMILE FROM THE HEART. I CAN REMEMBER HIM ASKING ME IF I WANTED TO HEAR A SONG HE WROTE, I SAID SURE, HE GOT HIS GUITAR AND STRUMMED " I WORK SO HARD AND I DONT KNOW WHY" MIKE SANG THAT A COUPLE TIMES AND I JUST LAUGHED. HE SAID HE WROTE IT BECAUSE THAT WAS THE WAY HE FELT. I HAVE NEVER FORGOT THAT SONG AND SING IT WHEN I WORK SO HARD AND I DONT KNOW WHY.

SURE WILL MISS HIM.

HUMMELL FAMILY GOD BLESS YOU AT YOUR TIME OF LOSS

Mike was my first love.
After all, I was 16 and he was 20, when we met.
We were married 4 years later.
Our 11 years together were filled with a lifetime
of good memories.

Some 20 years have passed between then and now, and
we kept in touch.

Yet...
It is hard to believe that I won't be able to talk to
Mike again, if only in my heart.
It is hard to believe that I won't be able to see Mike
again, if only in my dreams.

Be with the Angels, my sweet, know that you are deeply
loved by the many who's lives you've touched.

I have known Mike for along time, most of my whole life.He took my mom and I on trips to see the world. He loved to go on car rides, with me. He always would give me presents like Easter baskets and christmas gifts, and sometimes Valentines chocolate. It was hard for me to accept his passing, because I had visited Mike 4 days before he past away. I will remember him by his home-made beef jerky and brew beer. Mike loved killing bees and making fly hooks from the bees. When I think of bees I will think of Mike. I refered him as my step-father because he was part of my life for so long. He would come visit my daughter as much as he could. He loved to help others when he could, and loved to work on computers and electronins. He was a caring man and I will miss him deeply he is watching over us in heaven. When you hear this song "Knock 'n Heavens Door". By Bob Dylen. Think of Mike Hummel. theres many stories about his great life. love you, miss you.

Mike was my boss and mike was my friend, he affected not only my life but the lives of my wife and kids in so many positive ways.
I had lunch with him day after day and shared so SO much laughter together. I miss you very much Mike, plus you still owe me a
Buck on that bet we made!! My thoughts and prayers go out to all his loved ones, who number so many.

It's hard to understand the ways of our Lord. We all must live for each day because there is never a promise of tomorrow for any of us. I do have faith Mike is at peace. God bless all.
