Michael Mace Obituary

Michael Mace
March 15, 1959
February 6, 2023

Mike passed away on February 6, 2023, after a brief illness. Mike was born on March 15, 1959, in Germany to Jerome and Ruth Mace. He is survived by his sisters Karen Blair and Barbara Doche; brother-in-law Rich Blair and 22 nieces and nephews. Mike proudly served in the Army for eight years. He was a huge Denver Broncos fan, loved all animals and had a passion for wolves. He looked for opportunities to help others less fortunate than himself. Fondly known as "Uncle Mike" to his family, he will be dearly missed. A memorial service is planned for later this summer. Memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.

Mike and I were friends and classmates together; Stratton Meadows Elementary, Gorman Junior High and Harrison High Schools. We later worked at McDonalds on Circle Drive (no longer existing) where we purchased our first cars and perused the streets of Colorado Springs. We were true buddies. At 17, I joined the Navy and went sailing for awhile. I was away from Colorado Springs until recently and just learned of Mike's passing and the lives he touched. What a great, caring person and friend.

My friend, may the God of love and peace be with you, your family and friends. Go Broncos.
