Michael McBride Obituary

"Well I see trees of green and red roses too. I'll watch them bloom for me and you. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world."

Michael McBride, 71, of Colorado Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 30th surrounded by his family. Michael was born on December 19th, 1945 to Anne Speth and John McBride in Los Angeles, California and moved to Colorado Springs in 1983. After retiring from SAIC as a Systems Engineer, Michael enjoyed spending his free time golfing, bowling, fishing and perfecting his photography. Michael is survived by his wife, Judy, his two daughters, Katie and Shannon, and his soon to be son-in-law, Tyler.

A celebration brunch honoring Michael's life will be held at Patty Jewett Golf Course on Sunday, August 13th from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michael's memory to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, CO or The Wounded Warrior Project.

I remember Mike as enthusiastic, capable and cheerful from my SAIC days, but didn't know he was a fellow bowler. Wish we'd had more occasions to work together back then.
