Michael O'Connell Obituary

Michael was a warrior, passionate and strong in his beliefs. He was a lover of all things beautiful and meaningful. He was a scholar, a teacher & a poet. Michael will always be a beloved son, brother, husband and friend who will be forever missed. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Turner & Pamela Smith of Ramah; his sister Fallon O’Connell & Dustin Bouziden & Ava; his brother Donny Smith, all of Colorado Springs; and grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His death has left us all with a piece of our hearts missing. A Memorial Service will be held at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs at 1PM on Saturday, April 18th. A small reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to http://step13.org/ an organization that helps the homeless or your local suicide prevention foundation. If love could have saved you, you would never have died.

I will have Michael in my thoughts always. I am so sorry; as a mother I cannot imagine what you are going through. He was a great person and I am missing him. I am very glad to have made it to his memorial, it definitely provided closure for me.
