Michael Phelps Obituary

Michael Owen Phelps, 74, a life-long resident of Colorado, died November 27, 2012, in Colorado Springs. He was the son of Chester Owen and Evelyn Cora (Eddy) Phelps. He served in the Army, and was a retired field technician for MAI Sorbus/BABSS, where he serviced computers and electronic equipment for local banks, insurance companies, military installations, and the United States Olympic Committee. Mr. Phelps was born May 18, 1938, in Pueblo. He was married June 29, 1969, to Betty Lorene Helton. He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Patricia Eileen Bouldin and Nancy Ann McIntosh; two brothers-in-law, Charles Raymond Bouldin and Dwight Dean McIntosh; two sons, Chet Owen Phelps and Michael Scott Phelps; a daughter, Jan Clare Phelps; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Elizabeth (Stuckey) Phelps; a grandson, Gavin Dayne Orion Phelps; and a step-grandson, Joshua David French. Extended family includes Aloha June Natwick, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation from 1-2pm, memorial service from 2-3pm and a reception from 3-4pm, will be on Tuesday, December 4, at Cappadona Funeral Home, 1020 E.
