Michael Reed Obituary

It is with inexpressible grief that we have to announce the death of Michael H. Reed. He died April 27, 2007, age 25, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Michael was born on August 12th, 1981 at Landstuhl Army Hospital, Germany. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Michelle and son Julius. He also leaves behind his parents Tracey and Steven Reed of Colorado Springs, and his sisters Heather, Elisabeth and Amanda. As an Air Force military dependent, Michael was a world traveler living for years overseas in Germany, Greece and England. He graduated from Rutherford High School, Panama City, FL. Michael was an avid sports enthusiast and was aspiring to be a songwriter. Those fortunate to have known Michael realize that written words fall vastly short of describing his strong will to fight his illness. His son Julius, 13 months, was his wonderful gift to this world. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 3, 2007 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

"It is with inexpressible grief" comes as close to describing how the Knight family is feeling at this moment. We can't be there with you in person, but please know you are all in our hearts now and always.

My thoughts and prayers are with you through these hard times. I know from personal experience that the few years following will be difficult, but he left you a precious little Angel, Julius, to remind you of him everytime you feel blue. God bless you and your family.
