As i turned my calendar to july i think of you, as I do often, this is your birthday month as well as your departure to a better land. I can not believe it has been a year already. It has taken this long for me to write but that is also why I kept this book open for a year. You took me to my first trials where you knew EVERYONE. It was like i was with a movie star ;] I put in our picture of that day, we had such a great time. bye for now bueford t lipstickle.xox

Happy Bithday Mikey! We were all almost there for your farwell party. They broke the mold when you were born. No one will ever be like you, you were one of a kind. Once again you have shown the way and have gone over the great divide. We all hope to see you on the other side! My sincerest condolences to Mike's family and friends, he will be forever missed. Dear Mike,
I am a better person today because you touched my heart and gave me God's greatest gift, "Ryan". My heart aches that you didn't have more time with Ryan, but you made everyday count. Ryan and I will miss you so much. Your smile, your voice and your sneaky pranks and of course your humor. Thank you for loving our Son. He will make you proud.
Love you Sherrie

Mike E. Rentfrow,

We had a lot of fun, a lot of fun, the last 33 years. We did just about everything together. You will always be remembered. You know you were just like a Brother to me. Thank you for being by Friend. My thoughts and prayers are with You, Your Mom, Dad, Ryan, Duane, and everyone else in your world. It was a good show! Hope to see you in about another 33 years or maybe a little longer!

Dear Mike,
I am so happy to have called you my freind. All those who met you, knew you were one of the good guys.
To DJ and Ron, I only met you once, many years ago. To you and all of your families, I am so sorry.
Ryan,
I am so glad Mike got to meet you and spend time with you. It brough him great joy. You could hear the sparkle in his voice every time he spoke of you. He was one proud dad.

I first met Mike when I worked in Ronnie G's shop in the 70's. All these years later, when life happens and people go their different ways, I could always count on him to be there. I really enjoyed sharing music with Mike these past couple of years.
Finally, I'm sorry to have included such a goofy, 30+ year old "Picture Man" photo. But there's Mike surrounded by some of the very freinds who said goodbye to him today. Once you were Mike's freind, you were ALWAYS Mike's freind. I wish I had been there today to share stories.
Goodbye my old freind.

To Ronnie, DJ, Ryan and Duane,

I didn't know Michael well, but this poem came up and it felt like Michael wanted this to be posted to you all. I do know he loved you a whole bunch. My heart is with you during this time of grief. Hugs to you all!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

From the time Tom first met you when you both worked side by side in the stalls when you were the setup guy at Apex in the early 90's, you have been a friend to him. Your kind words and your superb sense of humor will greatly be missed. Then in early 2000's (2002 I think) Sandra and you met and you left quite an impression on her heart as she knew you were of the genteel sort - both kind and gentle and funny and always smiling. Tom and I will never forget you and your laugh. A piece of your heart will help carry us as we make our way in life to that final place we call home. Thank you for being our friend.

Some of the best times I ever had was doing things with Mike. From Trials riding together, or going to the April Wine concert at the City Aud. or all those Sky Sox games, Mike was the best friend a guy could have. I will miss him and will never ever forget him.

My deepest sympathies Ryan, DJ, & Duane! Mike was such an incredible person & a blessing to all whose lives he touched. He had such a love of life & people! What a great sense of humor, too! No matter what kind of day he was having, he was always there to put a smile on your face. :) There is a huge whole in my life & Randy, Tony, Michael, & Julianna's with this loss. I will miss him every day but know he will be there to greet me with a great big smile & hug when it's my turn to go home. I love you, buddy! God speed!
