Michael Sie, 71, of Colorado Springs, CO, was born on December 22, 1953, and passed away on January 17, 2025. He married his loving wife, Linda, in May 1976 and they were blessed with 48 years together. Michael lived an extremely active and caring life. As a nurse, Michael's work combined his love of helping others and his love of science. He pursued opportunities to help communities locally and globally through everything from volunteering with the Medical Reserve Corps, to hospice work, to medical mission trips. Michael enjoyed the mountains and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He valued all that Colorado had to offer and loved time spent with family and friends pursuing outdoor activities together. Michael is survived by his wife, Linda, his son Jeremy Sie and wife, Jessica; his son Joshua Sie and wife Jacey Anderson; and his brothers David Sie and Jonathan Sie. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Agnes Sie. A memorial service will be held on 2/1/25 at 11:00am at Alternative Cremation, 2377 Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs. The family requests a donation to Doctors Without Borders in lieu of flowers.

I've known Michael for over 40 years. At that time we both had young children and liked cycling. I think we did a few races together. Michael would always have some new thing he wanted to try and always talk me into joining him on his new venture. Ice fishing, Speed skating, folding bikes, tandems and Riding our bicycles up to Denver on I 25. (which is totally legal but very scary). I will really miss his enthusiasm.

I worked with Michael through several different nursing channels over the years including MRC. He was special and a joy to be around. He was a teacher that I always learned something from. What a special man-what a special family. God bless you all
