Michael Terpak Obituary

Michael "Archey" Terpak, 89, of Jermyn, died Monday in Mercy Hospital. His wife, Elizabeth Boga Terpak, died in 1993.

Born Sept. 9, 1918, in Simpson, son of the late Frank and Claudia Bartosh Terpak, he attended Fell High School and was a retired carpenter, formerly working for Builders Lumber and Supply and Telephone Engineering, both of Simpson. He served in the Navy in World War II. He was a member of the carpenters union and Simpson VFW.

Surviving are a sister, Theresa Zaleski, Jermyn; three brothers, Paul Terpak, Jermyn; Andrew Terpak, Hollywood, Fla.; Frank Terpak, Binghamton, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert; two brothers, John and Peter; and three sisters, Anna Krill, Mary Bradley and Helen Gorsky.

The funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the Ryczak-Harrison Funeral Home Inc., 901 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Mayfield, to be celebrated by the Rev. John Kulavich. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
